Conflict management

We help resolve conflicts in the workplace or between an organization and its customers. We are very experienced in training conflict management and de-escalation. But we sometimes go much further if the situation requires it. We offer coaching to managers. And if necessary, we mediate between colleagues, between employees and management or between the organization and its customers. We will of course proceed very discreetly and professionally.

Some examples:

  • Despite constant conflicts with colleagues and after several warnings from her manager, a foreign employee still does not seem to understand the seriousness of the matter and continues to repeat the same mistakes. The manager would like to give her another chance because she does good work and this is her first job at a high level in the Netherlands. Jaffar Consultancy conducted discussions with the employee, also in her own language. It appears that some matters were not properly understood by the employee. But also that the employee had private problems that she did not dare to discuss with the manager, but which affected her performance.
  • An employee has committed a property crime at work. The colleagues and management are very upset because it concerns a beloved person who always did his job very well. This case had already been publicized and Jaffar Consultancy assisted the management in formulating a communication strategy, both internally and externally. Jaffar Consultancy also assisted the management in staff meetings.
  • At several schools Jaffar consultancy assisted management and teams in response to sexual offense cases. Our work involved preparing information for (partly immigrant) parents about the issues, which naturally caused a lot of commotion. And also training for staff on how to deal with questions from parents. In one case, this also involved the care of the parents of a student who had been the victim of groping by other students. In another case, an employee was intimidated by a colleague. Our experience as a confidential counselor and as trainers at the vice police was very useful in these specific cases.
