Guidance program for OALT teachers in the event of collective dismissal

A few years ago, the Ministry of Education abolished the subjects of Turkish and Arabic for primary school students, the OALT - Education of Immigrant Living Languages. OOG, the administrative office for Protestant primary education in Amsterdam, coordinated the collective dismissal of these teachers in the city of Amsterdam on behalf of the Municipality of Amsterdam.

On behalf of OOG, Jaffar Consultancy guided a group of approximately fifty of these teachers (Turkish, Moroccan, other nationalities) with a six-month program during the last period that they were still working at their schools. Our guidance of these teachers partly involved individual coaching, including an inventory of possibilities on the labor market, individual strength/weakness analysis). For another part, the teachers were guided in groups and provided with information about the content and possibilities that the Social Plan offered them.
